Necessary to use STAR with new crankshaft position sensor
In the Haynes manual it says when changing the CPS, you must use star to recalibrate. But I see a lot of you guys changed the cos with messing with star? Is that correct?
Also, any other tips would be appreciated! Codes for an open circuit for o2 sensor and cps came up the other day, and since the connectors are in the same area, either oil got in harness or a wire popped out. Sucks...
From the document it looks like all I need to do is put the vehicle in PARK, then slowly run the car for 2500 rpms for 30 seconds?? Then do a road test?
