car won't start!
 

i put the key in and i cannot turn the key. it isn't activating! [no neat 'eerreee' sound. instead its a 'uhh' sound]


i disconnected the battery by just removing the negative. should i do more?

i thought i'd post just in case someone else STFF for the same problem. basically, the key is defective. i don't know why, but i took the spare and the car turned on. to make sure it was the key, i turned off the car, tried the key again and the car did not turn on. note: the defective key did not also lock and unlock. batteries are still good.

the key is covered by warranty hopefully???

has happened to me two times already, basically cpu resets and doesn't recognize key, they have to order new key... and only way is to tow ur car to the dealer...
