Every one wanted to race the C230....

haha....i blame my stupity for one! I started a project that went well, and kind of tried my own tweaking to an extent.
Right now, I am driving my 94 honda civic, the lexus is still in the garage......as far as the nitrious goes.....it had a lot to do with it, the bottle pressure was at 1550 when I hit it, and my exhaust gauge was pinned! I had it coming....I needed more fuel with it as well....
As far as the little shots are concerned....i would do it....big shots, leave up to the tuners and let them program it for ya...then it should do just fine.........

Jorel,
Burnouts are easy-Just stand up with both feet on the ground, hold the bike straight up, put the front brake on hard, run the rpms up to about 4000 and let the clutch out slow. When the tire breaks loose, you can give it more gas and really smoke it down. Aways pull the clutch in and let off the gas BEFORE you let off the brake, or you will be surprised when the bike launches out from under you! Just remember, those tires are expensive!. Wheelies are harder. You should start off learning on a dirt bike, or have someone who is good show you what to do. Be careful. It hurts when you fall!

Now remmember Calgary is 4000 Feet above sea level so the 1/4 mile times could be around 16's.... That around 15.4's sea level.

I GUARANTEE that stock for stock, the Type-R is MUCH MUCH faster than the C230K.
The Type-R pulls high 14's stock in the 1/4 mile, the C230K pulls mid to high 15's stock. A difference of AT LEAST 0.7 seconds in the 1/4 mile (which is a HUGE difference).
There's NO C230K that can pull a 14 second 1/4 mile stock.
Maybe the guy didn't know how to drive...most likely it was just a base Integra with Type-R stickers on it. There are a ton of those fools around.
The Type-R is faster at higher speeds as well. It has very short gearing and reaches it's 143MPH top speed very quickly.

When I drive the Coupe around, drivers around me always looks at me and want me to have a race or to see how the Coupe can do. Just like last night, 2 Honda Accord (one is 92 and the other one is 99+) just cut into my lane for no reason, and rev their engine beside me. First, I try to ignore them, but they keep irritating me; therefore, I shift into 2nd and floor the car. I flew by them so fast that no matter how hard their engines are running, they can't just keep up with me.
Why would people compare a Type-R with the C230K, both are complete different types of cars. Type-R is simply a track car, they don't have A/C, power window, sound insulation and all the luxury goods we have in our C230K. The engine of the Type-R is a hand build, 9000 rpm engine and they also have hard as hell suspensions. I think the C230K can beat the Type-R if we shave down the weight of the car by take out all the luxury goods, leather seats, A/C and all the unnecessary items. Then what is the point to having a MB???
just my $0.02

Here is what I found:
Road & Track 8/98: Acura GS-R 0-60 in 7.2 sec, 1/4 mi in 15.5@91.9
Car and Driver 3/97: Acura Type R 0-60 in 6.6 sec, 1/4 mi in 15.2@93
Sport Compact Car 2000: Acura Type R 0-60 in 6.5 sec, 1/4mi in 14.7@95.2
My old bone stock 1987 5.0 could have taken any one

black on black 2k2-230k auto/c1/c5/c7/k2c/COMAND/TELEAID/Stage II HIDS
the ITRs engine is handbuilt, but only the 98 MY did not come with AC, and power windows (optional) later models offered these as standard equipment, with option to delete.
sunroof, and sound dampening insulation were never offered in any type R.
Unlike the coupe, but just like the s2k and rsx, they have narrow powerbands that force them to be shifted at redline for fear of falling below vtec cutoff. they are interesting cars to drive, but after a while it becomes tiresome (fun on the track). When you drive an itr around the city, people look at u like your insane, cause you have to rev the engine so hard to get any gusto, or everything rolls past you at stop lights.

Runs
I also burned a Red Type-R on a hill. But I have no idea if it's a real one or not. I didn't really wanted to race, but I heard his engine rar, so I decided to test it. I didn't even try that hard actually, I just step on the gas (almost to the end) and didn't downshift at all (I own an auto). It was about a 100ft hill, and easily beat it by half a car length. I was along and he had his girlfriend in the car. I loved it because I have embarrased him in front of his girl friend. :o
Exact same hill (in front of my home), An A4, or A6 Wagon (I am not sure which). Maybe an A6. This time, I did down shift to 4th. Stepped on it all the way. We were pretty even at first, I pulled away one car length, and then I saw it was catching up to me from one car length, to half a car length. But then, the 2 lanes merge, so I guess I won, but he was going faster at the end of the run.
And today, I was cut off by a 500E, I was not foolish enough to challenge it, but we went sepearte ways anyways so no need to. But I saw a lot of 500/600 MB owners usually pretty polite not like this one.
I have been waiting for the longest time to run my friend's Man. A4. One of these days.
