Winter and Summer, I believe. Later models changes to C for Comfort and S for Sport. Winter/Comfort starts you off in 2nd gear from a stop - less tire spinning on a slippery winter road or likewise a smother start from a stop. Winter/Comfort will also hold you in place on an incline without your foot on the brake. Not sure how big of a hill this accommodates but it works in my driveway.

Also in Reverse, ....did you know you have 2 reverse gears?
Keeps wheel spin down on slippery surfaces, even in reverse!
