ABS BAS ESP 2004 C320 does not have a brake pedal switch
Just to help out others with this problem...

I have the three warning lights ABS BAS ESP. The driver (my 30 year old daughter) says she hears a "grinding noise" and the car restricts her speed to a crawl. I guess it's in limp mode or the ABS is activating. I don't know because I couldn't get it to do it while I test drove it.
Reading posts here have suggested changing the brake pedal switch which has helped others with this problem.
Well...I ordered a switch and went through all the trouble of trying to get to it under the dash only to find that there isn't one there! It looks like there is a mounting place for one but there's no switch there. It must somehow work from the master cylinder in the engine bay (the only guess I have).
So now I'm going to check the ABS wheel sensors on all four wheels. Will report back...

ABS, BAS, ESP...still can't find the problem. I have an appointment at a local independent shop. His diagnostic price is only $40. Very reasonable. He will waive the $40 if he does the work. I'll post back when I know the results.
