Mercedes-Benz C200 kompressor 2005
mercedes c200 2005 GCC specs speakers
hello
I recently bought a c200 2005, so the problem Is the car I bought has been just lying there from a couple of years.. I fixed up most of the stuff, but the issue is the rear speakers don't work , the rear deck subwoffer is not there or maybe it did not come with the car in the 1st place, I just wanted to know what the speakers look like and what the subwoffer looks like so I can go buy it from the scrap as I want the original speakers and is there an amp that is connected with the subwoffer? I really don't have much idea about the sound system of this car
note: the car is GCC specs

What kind of head unit you got ??? If it's a stock Becker or Alpine, they suck.. It won't matter, what size or kind of speakers you put in, it's still going to sound crappy... I started replacing all of my C320 coupe spks with no results.. Not until I added an EQ to the AUDIO 30 unit, did it start to sound OK..

The spks, that's up to you... A stock power amp, I would check into that before buying.. It may not work with your head.. Everything in the car uses CAN bus to operate.. No CAN bus signal... No worky...

the original HU (at least in post face lift 2005+) is just fine. I opened mine up to add RCA outs. (for full custom audio setup, but with original HU) The dsp and PA chip are standard what you would find in most aftermarket units. Same power.
What it does however, that most aftermarket units may not do, is cut bass as you raise the volume to avoid distortion. So it may sound weaker than after market units.
The speakers are similar to most low end aftermarket ones.
If you have the stock unit the front and rear door speakers are integral to a mount. If you remove them you have to build a custom speaker mount. They are on many MB cars should be easy to find used. Unless you had the Bose option with the subwoofer. In this case there is a separate amp and the speakers are probably 2 ohms, not standard.
