Another Windshield Wiper Switch Question
My 2006 C280's windshield wiper switch does not activate the wipers in either rain sensing or manual operation. I have disconnected my rain sensor to see if this would override the switch and allow me to use it in manual mode. I have changed the fuses for the rain sensor as well.
If I push the stalk in, it will turn on the wipers for one cycle. While this is tolerable, I would prefer to not have to actively monitor the wipers and let the rain sensor take care of this.
My question is: With the attempts I have made to diagnose/repair this, does this sound like it's a failure of the turn signal stalk where the switch for the wipers is not working?
If so, will I have to replace the entire turn signal stalk (which I have read instructions on here how to do so), or is there a way to only replace the wiper portion?
