Leaking Fuel Tank
My 2005 C320 has a small fuel tank leak.
Does anyone know what the part is that's leaking or how to fix without dropping the tank?
It doesn't appear to be connected to anything.

Hi Lou,
Had the same issue and could not find out what is the purpose of that nipple or why is leaking. Took the car at a local garage and they sealed it without dropping the tank. Problem solved.

Versachem 90214 Plastic Tank Radiator Repair Kit
This worked well to fix the small crack in the '05 C320 fuel tank. With a near empty fuel tank, I sanded and thoroughly cleaned the area around the crack.
I mixed the epoxy in a dixie cup and Popsicle stick. You have to work very quickly as the epoxy sets up in less than 5 minutes and generates a lot of heat.
I coated the area around the crack with epoxy, spread some of the supplied fiberglass over the crack and re-coated again with a layer of epoxy.
So far its holding up and the car passed inspection after being rejected for the leak previously. Total cost was less than $15.
