2007 C 280 - Headlight Adjustment Oddity
Greetings all. My first Mercedes, so I am learning as I go here.
To recap, I picked up a 2007 C 280. Really enjoy the car, unless I have to drive at night. The headlights look like they were aimed by Jack Elam. The low beams were aimed up towards the sky and the high beams were almost straight down.
Now I've figured out that the adjustment screw adjusts both (it hasn't slipped off luckily), but when I lower the Low Beams, of course the High Beams just go lower.
Am I going to have to removed the headlamps and try to disconnect the High Beam side "higher up" on that adjustment screw? And/Or could it be that the High Beam bulbs just aren't seated in the socket correctly (possibly also the low beams are off, high are fine)?
Any input ya all could give would be greatly appreciated.
