I am thinking putting the AMG 17" rims on my C240, not too sure what make of tires & size I should put it on for front & rear, I would prefer tires are long lasting & quite, please give me some suggestion, thanks.

i dont think your going to have quite as long lasting tires with performance tires over road tires.

For maximum comfort I'd go with the standard H-rated street tires. If you want sportier tires, look into V-rated over Z-rated, since V is a slightly harder compound, little cheaper than Z too, but still rated for high speeds and handling characteristics.

Thanks Preyx, what size of tires you recommend? 225-40r17 for front & 245-40-r17 for rear ?

I am looking at quieter tire myself. Do NOT get Michelin Pilot Sport tires if you want a good ride. That is what I have. Although the handling is incredible.

Try looking at Michilin Pilot Primacy. It is a V rated and I hear it is alot more quieter without sacrificing handling. Although it is not as thin as a Z rated low pro tire it still looks nicer than the full out thickness of an all season tire.

Addy,

I would look at 3 brands you mentioned and see what kind of tires they provide for a comfy yet sporty ride. They might have a guide on there websites. Contact Luke@tirerack.com and he can point you to a right direction since he is a tire expert. I am familiar mostly with the michilin brand so im not really sure.
