problem with remotely closing the sunroof

anyone have a problem close the sunroof remotely? it just happened now on our trip to boston. i had the sunroof fully open and i figure i'll close it after i get out of my car. when i begin closing it, the sunroof will move 3" forward and then go back on its own. i try again and it moves forward and then back. it stops always at the same place too!

so i get back into the car and then i turn the key to 2nd position and then press to auto close. i looked up and it rolled back again. i thought, uh oh! i pressed it again and just as it rolled back, i pressed it again and it went beyond the point it rolled back. this time, it stopped within 1" of closing and rolled back. i pressed it immediately and then it finally closed.

i opened th sunroof again and stood outside of the car and tried doing it remotely again, but no luck. is there some feature i touched that i don't know about or do i need our dealer to have a look at it?

You need to resynchronize the sunroof. It is described in the manual.

I've been having this problem for a while now. The dealer "fixed" it when I had my last service done. When I got home, it did it again! Argh...

Try your forehead. If that does not work, then make an effort and try to read the section of the manual entitled "Central locking system".
