My radio is the same as http://www.audio-10.com/install-desc...e-becker-tuner
Can anyone confirm this cable will work on MY2003 C230 sedan? I do have a 6-CD changer in the glove box.
Can I still use this cable for iPhone 3GS to play back music?
I also want to add that long cable to route it to the center console.
Thanks.

actually i remembered another way. do you like your cd changer. there is an adapter that will plug into where the cd changer is suposed to and replace it with an aux in. http://www.dension.com/en/multimedia...r/gateway-lite

hey, I was at the dealership today, and I went to the parts counter to get some part numbers and prices for the 12volt receptacle (cigarrette lighter socket), which I want to stash somewhere to power my iPod, which now uses my Aux-in cable. When the parts guy heard I was using an iPod, he asked if I was interested in the iPod adapter cable. I told him that I have the Audio 2o, and that I thought that only the COMAND HU had an iPod option, and he looked up the parts, spun the monitor around to confirm that, yes, that's the Audio20 HU I have, and proceeded to offer me the following parts:
6-7-82-4531
6-7-82-4257
He confirmed that it's for my 2006 CLK350, so what's up? I thought there was no true iPod cable for Audio20?

I know that; this thread is largely (and originally) about the Audio 20.
Has anyone installed (or had the dealer install) the ACTUAL iPod interface into an Audio 20 car?
There is it's called the MB ipod integration kit, i think it's about $200 or more just for the kit and the dealerships charge $400 for kit + install. I drove a GL with the kit and i didn't like my experience with the interface of the ipod when shown on your display. It shows the song but, randomly goes through your music and you have no control over which songs were being picked.
Has anyone installed (or had the dealer install) the ACTUAL iPod interface into an Audio 20 car?

I bypassed the glovebox and went direct to the console. I think my cupholder setup is different from yours, but I chose the ashtray instead. I put a link to the other thread in the CLK forum a few posts ago, but the key post is HERE. The head of the MB aux cable was too big to squeeze under the console, so you'd have to remove the console to get it to the cupholder but it WILL reach. I ended up using a cable made for iPods, so I just left the MB cable stashed next to the console and the iPod cable plugs into it, then comes up thru the ashtray.

My 2003 C230 does not come prewired. And I don't want to spend too much money for this. I bought iLuv isp100 from amazon http://www.amazon.com/iSP100BLK-Port...6390785&sr=8-4
It's not integrated into car's stereo but it works. It sounds pretty good compare to playing music out of iPhone 3GS speaker phone.

I tried this in C350 and it worked like a charm, the volume has to be increased/decreased from the iPod if you want it louder. I can also use my phone to talk hooked up via the aux input. I have a Samsung Vibrant, and I tested it by making a call and I can hear them and they hear me crystal clear. I'm so loving this right now! Thanks for the help all!!!!

Hate for my first post on the board to be a thread revival, but it's going to have to be. Just picked up a 2007 C230, with Nav/6cd about 2 hours ago. First order of business, throw in the ipod. Aux port is obviously already there. Ipod goes in, I run through the menu's and click the aux input on the nav screen. I get sound, but have no control over the ipod itself on the wheel, or the display.
What am I missing? Read through quite a few pages, but maybe I'm missing a step. And I see the CDC button being referenced, and maybe I'm completely missing it, but don't seem to see one anywhere on my dash.
Thanks guys.

Long drive home. I should have known that. Alright, so need to add an ipod integration kit to the list of "to do's." Is there any specific kit that will allow for the ipod information to come up on the COMAND unit itself, and not just the cluster display?

does anyone know if installing the harness cable voids the warranty?
i'm currently on an extended warranty and i'm thinking about installing the cable but someone pointed it out to me that installing the cable might void the warranty for the radio/audio system.
thanks!

2005 CLK 430 Works
2005 CLK430, CD Changer, Audio20 Unit.
Works!! Thanks everyone. Bought the cable listed in the first page. This is what I did.
(1) Find Connector.
(2) buy cable,
(3) Connect cable. Route cable under carpet near front of passanger seat.
(4) Remove Ash Tray insert. Remove panel around shifter. I removed the chrome insert around the (P-R-N-D), but dont think this is nessacary. Then removed the wood insert around the shifter. This requires a lot of force. Pull close to the dash. Do not pull from the bottom. There is a clip at the very bottom of the wood.
(5) Remove stupid tray inside the center console. Buy 3.5 mm audio cable. I connected the MB cable to 3.5mm. (less than 20mins so far, 15min reading this thread, 5 min or less of doing it)
Not finished. I still need power! Back of the center console has an power jack but no clean way of connecting. See previous post. I'm thinking of routing a new wire from door sill to center console for power. Has anyone done this? or getting power from stupid phone connector? Does anyone have the pinout for the phone connector inside armrest. I don't have the phone.

AUX, with a 2004/2004.5 radio etc, if you don't have Comand then your options are limited. No Aux port unless you modify the radio, or use an after market solution (i.e. Denson ICE) Search, you will find plenty of information, as a matter of fact, scroll up and you will find a link to the Denson product.
Well, if you have the TEL button might have the *capability.* If you don't have a phone cradle in the console area, then your car just has the pre-wiring, but not the required electronics. That is the most likely case for your car. Yes, with everything it can do bluetooth - since I am sure that is a question too. Again, search, you will find a lot of threads on this.

Which brings me to a new dilemma. Whats a good receiver with muted dark looks that will meld well with the rest of the console? I am assuming that replacing the receiver (I will be getting it done professionally) is not going to compromise the console panels etc.
Thanks !!

Hi all,
Just did the install and was able to successfully get sound through the AUX. It seems the AUX cable is a bit loose (when inserting plug AUX pushes in and when pulling out plug AUX pulls out). Anybody else experience this? I know there is a snap but can't seem to get it to snap into place when in.
Thanks.

I just finished the install myself and had a similar problem...the douche bag parts guy at the dealership sold me the wrong part # but the wire is pretty much the same...just the circle part that goes into the glove box was a tad too big. In the process of trying to force it into the small hole in the side of the glove box one of the small clips around the circle part broke off...which made it easier to get the AUX plug through the whole yet when i would go to plug in the cord it would push it back and it would not seat properly. I ended up getting a piece of plastic from a wire tie and rigged it behind the plug so that it touched the back of the panel so that when i would plug in the AUX cable the plug would not fall out. now it sits securely and does not move with plugging in or removing the AUX cable.
Hope that helps and made sense...hehe

Bringing back an old thread here.
I have done the AUX cable to the glove box and it works great. My question is about what I can connect to the cable. I have read through most of this thread and have not seen the answer.
Would it be possible to connect a DVD player to the AUX in cable? I understand I would not be able to control anything from the head unit. Just looking for the sound from the DVD player to come through my speakers. In the process of adding some screens to the headrests and need to figure out a way to get the sound without replacing the head unit.
Thanks in advance!
