Yaw Sensors or as you say in the USA Lateral

Well, I searched, I read, I slept and I repeated the whole process. I do apologise for asking this one as I realise the chassis is now way older than stated in the "Read this First" STICKY.

I have a 2001 RHD W203 C180 NA 2Ltr. (cause we do it differently in Australia) don't ask why cause I don't know! I have had a full diagnostic test done and the fault is identified as the YAW RATE sensor. Pretty simple you would think until you go looking for it...I took pot luck on some words from a mate with a coupe version who said his was buried in the back end, so I lifted carpet, plastic and there it was. Now what I do not understand is what the difference is between these variations. Thus, these Yaw rate sensors are a bit of a joke, I need to replace the one in ours A0025429418. Can you tell me what the difference is between it and these, A0045429218, A0025428918, A0035429818, and A0025427218? These are all visually the same item in size and fitting design, some have Qtr01-04 to complete the number but I figure that is just the manufacture date/time. Surely there can not be such a significant difference for such a simple device? The pinouts even look the same, which gives even more credence to the logic of them being the same. Voltage cannot differ as they are all cars. I have tried almost every way I can to get an answer and now I am reluctantly going to the Forums with this question hoping someone may have an idea. I am asking this in more than just one forum in the hopes of catching that person who has maybe even worked in this area of MB.

Thank you, Jeff

Thank you, appreciate the help. I am having trouble getting into this site though, is it USA only?

Yaw and lateral sensors are not the same thing. They differ in size shape and there plugs differ.. First version w203 I think has 2 sensors
