well after some phone calls and looking around, there is nowhere that you can order the rims black. called axis, they said best way to go about it is to powerdcoat em. reasonable advice.
as far as pricing goes, axis themselves referred me to wheelsnext (888.288.0070). Spoke with them, asked if they could powdercoat the wheels before they shipped out. Got another no, so i asked for pricing. They said a set of 4 wheels, with Nitto 555 tires, would be 1690+ shipping. He gave me a final figured shipped, 1850 in cali, including tax.
rims were 19 x 8.5, 19.9.5. Tires were 235/35/19, 265/30/19.
So we can order, at this point, just gotta go about our own ways of getting em the color we want.
RIght now im also stuck in a sticky situation with my CLK that my folks wanna keep it for themselves so now im on a search for a c320 or a w208 clk now. At the same time, gave myself 2 weeks to get rid of my GTI, and if i cant, to the dealer trade in we go!

If the lip is messed, then it should be messed without the spacers too.

I'm curious on how you can even fit a spacer on the rear, there isnt much hub that it can sit on. I imagine that your wheel must be just resting on the spacer and thats why its shaking.

Hey guys and Frank...about this spacer issue......I'm looking for rims for my car and have been doing some research and based on the styles I like....ex full face, deep dish, neg offset....looks like I'm gonna need these things right. I mean is it the rim that determines this or just the fact that i have those big front calipers? Will I definitely need spacers in the front no matter what? I would like to know because all this talk about shaking and stuff with these things on makes me not want to do anything to my car. I will not compromise my ride for the look of the car....it's stupid... who ever heard of a shaking brand new Benz........So I'm worried. Also if I order rims online will most of my local professional wheel stores and galaries know how to mount them properly with those spacers on and the caorrect size and all without any shaking? Because I sure as hell would not know what to do. I just want to pay, plug, and play hassle free ya know.
BTW I was going to put some links up so you guys can see some rims i'm thinking of and give me feedback about any issues I may encounter with each one, but after the COPY CAT incident I think I'll keep them to myself! LOL LOL LOL JUST KIDDING FRANK. Just messing with ya..... you know your the man, but seriously opinions on this spacer thing.....it kinda sucks if you ask me.

unfortunely because of the bigger caliper on the AMGs and newer sports pkg C-class not all the rims that are made for the W203 will fit on the car without the use of spacers. This are mostly due to the design of the wheel. Most of the time the deep dish wheel design such as the PHIN will require spacers. If you look at my 18's LM6 which had no lip it works on my car without any use of spacers to clear the front caliper. both set came with the offset of 35 and 38 which supposely can fit on the W203 with no problem, but because of the design the PHIN required spacers.
post wat you want to get and i can do some search for you. Also if you go to TWS, they can help you every step of the way like they helped me with the whole spacers ordeal.
note: I took the car to TWS today and had them checked it out. It turns out the rear wheels were badly out of balance since I had these mounted by another shop which did a crappy job at balancing the wheels. That was causing the car to shake up-down. Just remember left-right vibration from the steering wheel are coming from the front wheel and the up-down like vibration you can feel most of the time comes from the rear wheel.

Get a wheel that can custom made the offset, for example, Lowenhart can have Deep, Mid or no dish for brake clearance issue, and u can go nuts for your rear. Use spacer as your last resort, too much hassle.

I know they are kinda expensive, but I think it would look hot on my car! Plus I have found a company that makes a rim that looks like that with rivets and all for cheaper. I think company is called Panther. Not sure Any info would be appreciated.
I also like the old school monoblocks Aero II chrome 18x8 front 18x9 back for both. I like the LDR lowenharts non chrome or Dolce DC 12 same set up. As you can see almost all these wheels have a lip and full face. That is why I am worried.

Here is a pic of the rubbing on the coilover. Everything fine tho now that it shaved down the tire. :p

fuking A, just found out today it's not just the wheel well inner lining are rubbing, there's part of the tab from the bumper that are rubbing as well after I drove "very" fast on the 57 going south they tab finally made some indication that it is rubbing into the tires. previously you can't even tell. wonder if this has any to do with making the wheel lose balance.
