knocking sound from gas tank

knocking sound from gas tank
The car is S203 200cdi 2004.
A knocking sound is heard from the gas tank area. It's only heard when you start moving.
Is it about baffles or floats?
how can i test it?

I think I fixed it.
I removed the fuel pump (euro car, passenger side) and turned the pump unit clockwise a little. I also tightened the pump more gently.
Now the float is in a slightly different position and does not hit the tank = no knocking.
