That's frustrating. I expect that most of us have done the same thing. It's a cost of doing business for the DIY mechanic.
I couldn't find an on-line parts diagram showing the fastener you need. Unless someone else is able to find the diagram, I suggest that you call or visit your Mercedes dealer and ask them for assistance. Another possibility is calling an on-line parts seller like FCP Euro or Autohauz.
I have found magnetic pick up tools to be very hand in these situations. Here are a couple of examples:
