Another good time to buy, when a dealer starts to recieve cars of next year and tries to get rid of previous year models. So July/August of 2008 will be a good time to get C under invoice. Discounts can be even deeper if 2009 model will include some missed options as keyless go, memory seats, parktronic and so on.

I'm sure you're right. The longer you wait, the less a used car of any discription will cost you. Wait 10 years and you can get it really cheap.

You do bring up an interesting point, though. If one was wanting the worst part of the depreciation absorbed by someone else, how long should they wait? Probably has something to do with supply/demand on this car. If they're in tight supply, dealer's don't have many on hand and special ordering one takes 2 to 3 months, then the resell values are going to be higher. If they're as common as door knobs, then the prices will drop more rapidly.
