Angry p1

why are heated seats included in the P1? In our area we don't need heated seats and this is true for many other areas. Also satellite radio and navigation system should be available as a separate option.

I prefer working with the Zune, it's a matter of personal taste (and having three iPods crap out on me, only one of which was under warranty).

Waiting for W204 Facelift
Poor Options !

some safety systems and equipment lost !

Run flat tyres -in bmw and other car maker even standart - not seen for W204 -not option list

No DISTRONIC PLUS (cruise control) option list as not option also . this system placed as option E and Up models .Waiting for new C but not -I think this Safety system is better than Pre-Safe-

I've got an 06 BMW 330 sport package that came with 18" RFT. BELIEVE ME you DON'T want them on your merc. My oem tires have since been replaced with a 19" wheel/non-RFT package and a compressor with sealant. The ride improved tenfold over the 18" RFT.

They're fine on smooth pavement, but they're so stiff they quickly overwhelm the suspension on choppy pavement. And the impact harshness over seams is bad enough to send quivers through the dash.

I was more than willing to risk needing a tow for a flat tire (if the sealant didn't work) than put up with the wagon wheel ride. This coming from someone with a lowered aftermarket performance suspension and 19" wheels. they really are that poor.

Keep in mind RFT doesn't help if the sidewall is punctured/slashed/shredded. They only protect against loss of pressure from the tread area.

No memory option for US... not for 2008 at least. The std seats are 8-way electric but no memory. Memory seats controls are on door side.

I asked on another thread, but didn't get an answer. Is this normal practice for MB to introduce a new model and then not finalize the options packages, or trickle in options, until the 2nd model year?

I'm really digging the look of the new style, and with 335 prices heading up to 45k for a lightly optioned car (plus, even though I own an e90, I can't stand the styling), I was thinking of making the switch. But this will ultimately put me off the brand if little things I normally take for granted (memory for the seats) get left behind at launch. From an outsider's point of view it's very frustrating that the options seem to be a moving target.

I would wait until the C350's are out as well. They may be standard on the 350's and just not listed. There was a lot of mis-documentation on the W203 chassis so who knows.

It is a little uncertain from the information on the internet regarding options and standard features on the new W204's. I placed my order yesterday for a C350 (August 10 build date). My dealer did have the official information from Mercedes with the pricing - (same as above in this thread). The MB USA site still lists the 2007 C class instead of the 2008 - silly and disorganized.

Would you mind telling what you got in your 350 and what was standard vs optional?

The only options I chose were the metalic paint and the 18" wheels. The standard features are the ones listed above in this thread, which I understand are accurate.

Thanks. I was set on the 300, but am now leaning toward the 350, especially if the wood trim is not an option in the 300 Sport (which I have not yet been able to verify).

Wood trim?

<<I was set on the 300, but am now leaning toward the 350, especially if the wood trim is not an option in the 300 Sport (which I have not yet been able to verify)>>

Unless you buy the C300 Luxury, you are getting aluminum rim with a black interior.

I've heard that one too, but just had 2 dealers tell me they could get Black birdseye maple in the 300. it'll take 12 weeks to get it here, but they have been able to order it. i'll let you know when i actually order to see if that was true or not...

of course one of those dealers told me there was a 6-9 month wait on the AMG rims now and the other one said he could get them...i guess the only ones who really know for sure are the ones who have ordered them in the past couple of days.

BMW is just as guilty with leatherette... for 32k+, an automobile should have leather... how are you going to make lumbar support, and bluetooth standard, but not give up nice seats which EVERYONE can use...

I will take a wait and see apporach. I am just frustrated at my first "raping" charge on this new Benz
Well BMW charges $3250 for the premium package which includes LEATHER, BLUETOOTH, and LUMBAR SUPPORT. Without that package... leather, bluetooth and lumbar is NOT standard. Also that you should be thankful that $32K in the US gets you a 328i while in Europe or Asia it gets you 320i with nothing in there...

So how is BMW going to make lumbar support? Well lumbar support can only be purchased with premium package that includes leather. Bluetooth is also optional (purchased with BMW Assist), but standard with premium package that includes leather.
