Possible C-Class Sport Delays
 

I spoke to my MB dealer yesterday to check on build/delivery dates.

Whilst my car still seems to be on schedule (fingers crossed), I was advised that all C-Class Sport cars ordered a week after mine (I ordered on 6th June '07) have been delayed by 1 month due to limited supplies of the AMG body kit.

I live in the UK so I'm not sure whether this is a specific problem for cars destined for the UK, whether this is a European or global issue.

If you have an order in for a Sport model it is worth double checking scheduled delivery dates.......obviously the Sport model is proving a lot more popular than expected.

I have ordered the following currently scheduled for delivery at the end of September:

I like C 320 CDI much more than other C engines :y

C320 CDI is a beast. 389 lb-ft torque equivalent to a S550.

why less Americans buy C320 CDI ? instead of C320 CDI They buy C300 and C350 ? :confused:

I ordered mine in July. It has been built - C350 Sport (for US) with the 18" AMG wheels.

Very simple. The Bluetec diesel is not available in the "08 C-Class. Yet. If it were offered this year I'm sure that diesel E-Class sales would plummet. After all, the W204 is now superior to the W211 in most areas not to mention substantially cheaper. The E-Class diesel option price is $1000 and assuming the same cost for a C, had it been available, I would have ordered one. 36mpg highway appeals to me, somehow. And, the E320 Bluetec is faster 0-60 than the E350 gas.

I was at my dealer the other day and they told me that the delay was duy to the pano roof.
First he said that the delay was due to the AMG kit, but when he checked his computer there was nothing there about it.
But there was a note about the pano roof.
I live in Sweden and ordered my car 30 march. It should have been delivered late july/early august but still no car.. My girlfriend (who I bought the car for) is not to happy..
So I quess it is a European problem for sure. Dont know about US.
