I don't know about that association deal. However, you can work out a deal but could take a week or so, at least it did for me. After getting my first offer (in percentages) then I checked in with another dealer (Internet sales manager, forget the middle man), and so on to other dealers until I got to 12%. Now you may do better or a little lower.

Good Luck,

Good Luck,

AC

I got 12% with no issues at MB of Tampa on a 2013.

I am holding off until jan unless I find a 2012 with nav in sapphire grey before hand (much harder then you think).

I had to order mine to get the options I wanted. If I'm going to make a payment I don't want to wish I had another color or no XENON for example.

That seems like a fair deal & enjoy the ride, and stay close to the garden hose, black requires constant attention.

I'm wondering- not quite sure, if your VIN number with a search link somewhere on MBWorld can tell you what options you have?

AgilityControl, from which dealer did you purchase your car?

Vertex, was the 12% quote from MB of Tampa 12% plus an additional reduction for MB's incentives (e.g. $2,000 Winter Event), or 12% total reduction?

I was quoted 9.77% off MSRP plus $2,000 incentive in PA. 2013 C250 Luxury Sedan, Multimedia, Premium, Keyless, Metallic; MSRP $43,335; quote is $37,100. Car is exact color and desired options. Other dealers confirmed that it is only one around. There is one other one in that color with an additional, unwanted option, and 3 in my second-choice color. Was told by a reliable source that there are very few C250 Luxury Sedans on the east coast. Dealer is ostensibly paying $400 to bring car in from another dealer. I sent a few emails but no positive response thus far. One dealer said $2,000 off MSRP plus $2,000 winter cash; another went down to $37,500 (said they discount 8-9%) but doesn't have the car. Another dealer quoted $38,900.

If anyone can advise of a northeast/mid-atlantic dealer likely to offer over 10%, I would appreciate it; otherwise, I will take the deal to avoid having to wait until February for a special order, change the color, or pay for an unwanted option.

Thanks.

3 day ago leased a $43,335 c250 luxury in Southern California. After through research, I figured $4000 back of INVOICE is what's realistic (called few brokers, got few quotes from different dlr's fleet departments, played with lease calculator). Mine is lunar blue, with P1, Nav pac, and keyless go. Deal is: 24 moth lease, 10K miles, $3000 total out of pocket cash, $295(tax incl) a month at top tier money factor. Hope this helps

p.s. TTOC, which is the option you don't want?

RAB Motors CA. There's so many C250's out here, you could probably get 12% off here plus winter event and have them ship it.

Thanks.

12% off is my deal plus MB winter event of $2,500. Was 1,500, but since my C350 doesnt arrive until December I'm using this new coupon. I need to find out if I can get conquest too of $1,000.

For got.....R.A.B. Motors Marine, CA. We have millions (well a lot anyways) of C250's in CA, hardly any C350's.

MB of Tampa was willing to do 12-13% off MSRP 2013.

That was the total discount amount. so 45k - 12%

Vertex did you take the Tampa quote with 12%, I just received a Winter Event coupon for $2000 off plus $500 private offer for addition $2,500 off after my 12% negotiated deal. Naughty or Nice gift cert came in the mail yesterday.

Did you get it? If you take or order a 2013 model you can get the Winter event deal on top of your 12-13%.

Thanks to Vertex, AgilityControl, and 4rvrDarwin for responses.

I bought the 2013 C250 Luxury Sedan in Dolomite/Almond, MB-Tex, Mulimedia Pkg, Premium 1 Pkg, Keyless Go, MSRP $43,335 for $37,100 (plus all-weather mats) from Mercedes-Benz of West Chester, PA. Details in a future post (we ended up going through 3 CA's and 2 sales managers at that dealership), but first will respond to other posts --

4rvrDarwin, my wife is a careful, conservative driver and was not interested in paying for the Lane Assistance Package ($850), but she would have accepted it if needed to avoid waiting for a specially ordered car. (I would have taken the package, and the lighting package.)

It appears that Vertex's quote included whatever incentive was offered at that time (Winter Event if in November, Conquest if in October--both $2,000), and that he will not get Winter Event incentive on top of it. The few quotes I received from dealers all included the applicable incentives.

Thanks for name of Cal. dealer. I was told by CA's at two dealers that (unlike with BMW), you cannot purchase from one dealer and have them arrange a courtesy delivery at another dealer, so a California dealer is not cost-effective. Interestingly, when I priced the "true market value" at edmunds.com and put in a few different zip codes, Beverly Hills was a few hundred dollars less than anywhere else, and $1,000 less than Illinois. MB of Escondido quoted $38,888 plus $1,800 shipping, $38,000 for European Delivery. I was also quoted $37,500 from Mercedes of Cherry Hill, NJ ($38,300 with Lane Assistance Pkg). A dealer in Va. beach with Dolomites in stock quoted $4,000 total off MSRP, including Winter Event. Cherry Hill CA said reduction should be at least $5,000 off MSRP.

The comment about all the C250s in Cal. stands in contrast to the East Coast, according to one CA, who said that despite MB's promotion of the C250, there are hardly any on the East Coast. He was surprised MB was giving incentives on them. Indeed CA's at two dealers confirmed that the car I bought on Saturday was the only similarly configured car in Dolomite on the East Coast. There was one other Dolomite in Md. that also had the Lane Assistance Package. In October, MB of West Chester had quoted $38,885 for that configuration, and the salesman said I could also use my $2,000 fleet discount, which the new car manager told me last Friday was not correct. (Fleet discounts cannot be used with Winter Event, conquest, or similar programs. The manager told me for that reason fleet discounts are almost never used at his dealership. So, no, Vertex, you cannot use your ABA ["fleet'] discount with the Winter Event program. The new car manager sent me the "privileged and confidential" [that's what it says] official program terms; I also saw the same exclusions on some dealers' websites. The ABA discount is what you would call an "illusory" discount.) I also learned there were 3 steel gray luxury sedans on the east coast with multimedia and premium but not keyless go. One with keyless go is arriving in a month.

I just joined the MB Club, so if I do this again, I can get the rebate.

I went and got a 2012 instead of a 2013. The extra money didn't make sense for me. I am loving my car!

Question. Did you have to put a deposit when you ordered your car? My dealer made me put a 10% non-refundable deposit for my order. Not sure if that is the norm or not.

Factory ordered 2012 MB C350 w/Dynamic Handling Package
Originally Posted by NauticaX

Yes...Entire process started around September of 2011. After multiple dealer negotiations the order was placed around October.

Speed Bump #1.
Dynamic Handling Package. No C-Class in the US gets this unless it is a special order, so that's an automatic 4-5 month wait.

Speed bump #2.
At the time, MB weren't making any C's with the multimedia package yet (even though it was advertized on the website). All 2012's prior to mine were configured as Command + Backup camera. My order was originally for just the Command + Backup camera (cheaper too...since it's single disc player vs 6)...but because MBUSA was in the middle of forcing packages, my order had to be changed to the "multimedia package" during build time adding delay. At this point, I was already a few weeks into the wait, so I agreed to the change.

Speed Bump #3.
Japan gets hit with a Tsunami. All orders with the lighting package gets delayed by a few more weeks. Apparently Japan caters to their customer base first...so everyone else gets the back seat, and pretty much all of the HID lights come from Japan.

Speed Bump #4.
Panoramic moon roof shortage. Apparently MB factory places a higher priority on the higher end cars first (at least that's what I was told). So C-class panoroof order gets a backseat vs an E-class panoroof order.

After all this, the car's final assembly was around May/June, but had to be on the boat for a month. My pickup date was going to be Saturday July 28, 2012...but then my wife gave birth the day before, adding 1 more delay. So yeah, it's been a long journey.

At the final few weeks, I was so tired of waiting and wanted to cancel everything so I could go with the redesigned BMW 328, since the whole point of this was so my wife can have 4-doors (she's comming from a coupe) but the MB dealer ended up loaning me an E350 to play around with for a weekend to calm me down.

We did...but it depends where you are. I learned in CA, by law there can't be such thing as a "non-refundable" deposit. This is merely a sales tactic to prove to the sales guy how "serious" you are. FYI...my check wasn't even deposited.

No deposit required, but one dealer did ask for a $1,000 down, but they didn't offer the best deal.

My OCD was so bad at first because I don't have my car yet I think I've seen every picture on the web of cars similar to mine. In a way, this OCD has made me feel as though I've already had it for awhile and now maybe I don't want it anymore. But, I'm going to hang in there

Did you know the next C-Class will be made in the US. Next wait will not be so long.
