C300/ 350 Exhaust notes…

Just curious, when I demo’d the C300 on the lot, I don’t recall hearing the exhaust while the car was idling and not very much on the drive. I always demo cars with the radio off as well as the havc so I can hear the motor. In contrast when I drove the C350 I could defiantly hear a more menacing rumble inside the car when accelerating and a slight burble or rumble when my wife and I traded spots and I walked behind the car while it was idling? It almost had a faint V8 rumble to it. I only ask because my C300 sounds very muted inside and outside of the car anyone else notice?

Exhaust

I will be removing the rear mufflers from my C350 when I receive it next week. I have modified the exhaust systems to most of my cars. Usually, I just have the rear mufflers removed and have straight pipes inserted in their place. The cats and resonator provide sufficient muffling for my taste.

What are you expecting from it realisticly? It's the smaller of two V6s for a Benz sport sedan.

I believe he is referring to the C300's V6 as the OP was asking about that engine's sound compared to the C350's "more menacing rumble inside the car when accelerating and a slight burble or rumble when my wife and I traded spots and I walked behind the car while it was idling"
