Question C-350 owners please repond to me read this

I been reading on mercedes for past few months all the litature i can get. I want to buy new car for past year . I drive a honda which i have had 8 yr. Im concernced about reliability issue if i buy one and concerned i read alot on people who paid 2 grand to fix there car when broken i read alot about the sam issue with batteries. I really like the look of the new 2008 c 350 but concerned about how good are they and if it is a car i can keep for 8 yr or so . I always been able to fix my car im a hand on guy liek to learn alot and fix things if i can with my hands i see mercedes is all about codes. I do drive alot fast and hard will this car be up for it please hel p me decide give me your input on mercedes:

2008 C350 would be W204, you are in the W203 forum

and yes, buy a Brand new Benz and you could keep it forever

used one... no...

my 94' W140 is still 40382KM (yup, KM not Miles) and running just like the first day we got her.

I've moved from the Toyota/Honda crowd and able to do engine swaps, rebuilds etc. Mercedes/BMW is on a different league. Besides the regular maintenance and the simple stuff I'm lost.

I don't think anyone have done long term testing (maybe except for MB) since the engine is new.

I have a C-350 but it's a 2007 (W203)

I am happy to report it has 1,650 miles and hasn't broken down or cost me a penny yet!
