I ordered a C350 Sport in Steel Grey Metallic with the P2 and MM and 18 inch wheels.
Just got off the phone with my salesman they dont have a build date yet he says the hold up is the 18 inch wheels they on backorder.
IS this true anyone know.
I ordered from a huge dealer one of the biggest in the country and i am sure they have a huge allocation.
I ordered my car on August 27th and its October 1st and no Build date.

i ordered on like the 26th of september, and i was given a build date of "late october w/ a completion date of nov. 10th" i also ordered the 18" amg wheels, with multimedia package as well.

I ordered my W204 C220 CDI Sport in early August and still don't have a build date. We have been advised in the UK that Mercedes are building no sport models in either September or October because of availability problems of the AMG styling kits.

I also understand they have availability problems of the 18" AMG alloys, leather interiors, parameter steering components, panaramic roof components and advanced agility pack componets. Don't know if this effects the cars built for the US market or just European models.

Not heard if the availability problems are improving yet either, hope this helps!

The 18 inch wheels were a big holdup for a while. They are now available again, but MB is so full of orders for them that the build dates are all up in the air.

My guess is your delay is due to a few factors..the fact that you are from a large dealer probably means they had several backed up orders for 18's and yours is simply on the list to be filled.

I ordered my C300 with MM and 18'' wheels on August 2, I was told today that my car is in production and should be here by mid nov or def before dec.
It is the 18'' wheels that hold up.

well i guess i ordered at the right time then, because whether i would have ordered a month ago or last week, it seems the delay would have held it up regardless.. let's just hope that the completion date i was given stays true.

Ordered mine August 21st and it will be here mid Oct. C350 p1,mm,18amg rims
black on black. Waiting sucks I know what it's like!

Ordered my C300 with MM in early August. Picked it up this weekend. I originally ordered 18" AMG wheels, but they were backordered (and still are), so I took the 17" rims. I would have had to wait another month or two.

was it built for you or was it a pre-existing order? if it was built for you, what was the original build date they had for you?

I'm in the same situation. Ordered mine around the same date as you and I am told they won't start production till 3 weeks from now for my car. I am told I will get it the end of November. Ahh at least it will be here by Christmas.

It was built for me with my specs. I don't know the original build date. All I know is that I placed the order in early August and it arrived in port on 9/27.

wow that's a super quick turnaround time. i suspect that u might have gotten in on a cancelled order or something. everybody else is looking at 3 months.

I was the first one at my dealership to take delivery of a C300 with multimedia. I gave up the 18" AMG wheels, so that made things quicker. Most people seem to have ordered theirs a little after I did, so I may have got mine in before the flood of orders.

I've heard that there is a much longer wait for those equipped with the MM package and 18" AMG wheels, and I've also heard here on the forums that there is a long wait for the leather option as well.
