sorry
I think it should be Pano.... :D
not native language ... do not see our all faults  |
If you like the Pano in the C then it is definately worth the money.
When I was considering it I sat in an E with Pano and thought it was very nice. Then the dealer told me the one in the C was not the same because it was a smaller car. So, the mesh apparently rolls up and isn't opaque, which is definately not what I want. So, while I like the exterior look of the Pano roof on the C I'm glad I didn't get it. It is a much nicer feature in the larger E or S classes and will probably look into it again if I buy an E in a few years. |
Our 03 E500 had panorama roof and we enjoyed it. We decided that panorama roof is a "must have" option when placing our C350 order.
In Canada, panorama roof is part of the premium package for the C350 that includes Command, PCMCIA interface for MP3 playback from memory cards, 4GB MP3 storage, KEYLESS-GO, Linguatronic voice control and rear window sunshade; all for a whopping price of C$4,600! :) |
Pano roof not available on the Canadian version of the C300 4matic :(

it's a definate must have on my list, for various reasons:
1. It is a nice compromise between a conventional sunroof and a convertible, since I can't stand the blazing heat, the wind, dirt and noise of a convertible but still enjoy the views and light year round. 2. It is a unique option and you don't see them on many cars. 3. The rear passengers also enjoy the light and view. 4. I love how the look of the black roof on the exterior. I had my roof on my current car painted black not only to disguise the black hole look of the single glass sunroof, but it also ties the front windshield to the rear backglass creating a really clean look, especially on a light color car. 5. The fabric/mesh shade is not really that transparent. You will see a tiny glimpse of sunlight, but the interior will not heat up nor will you get sunlight blazing on you. In comparison, the pano mesh sunshade on the Audi A3 and the Mini is very transparent to the point of being almost pointless. 6. At $1,000 extra, I think it is a reasonable price, considering BMW charges about the same price for a conventional sunroof. The one minor downside is that the sunshade is power operated and controls both the front and back in sync, but not independantly. |
