They are all the same diameter. I purchased a set for my C320 a few years back. They were an SLK part #. I bought mine from www.mbparts.com.

Today, with my very own two eyes, I saw the blue center caps transferred from the 17" Lux wheels to the 18" AMGs.

About four bucks each.

x2 or at least that's what the dealer told me when I bought my chrome star covers. And no, I don't think it's pointless to change those awful looking blue covers, the early demo I had driven had the chrome star covers and I loved them, but the production cars had the blue laurels. When I asked the salesgirl she confirmed production cars have the blue cover and said I could buy the chrome stars from parts, so I went and bought them even before my car was delivered. Paid about $10 but they list at $17+.

Since none of the wheels are chromed, the chromed star center caps don't quite.... Anyway, I like the blue version better. To each his own.

I'll take some pictures when my camera comes back from repair tomorrow. Picked a fine time to die but luckily it's subject to a free recall for the very problem mine had.

Brought the new C300 home today but did not escape the afternoon rainstorm. The 18's do wonders for the car's appearance, almost justifying their astronomical cost. The salesman spent almost an hour in the car familiarizing me with the MM functions. I have some way to go before I understand the whole thing. I did notice that there is an IPod jack in the glovebox which I thought had gone away.

The steering wheel rake is not like the C320's (I knew that) and will take some getting used to.

The mods have commenced, starting with the installation of the 70W H7 high beam bulbs from the C320. Xenon combined with the brighter hi-beam bulbs light up the world at night.
