I knew something was odd.....I found out that the european version of the C280 is the same as the American C300 version. same engine v6 except just a tad lower in hp for the american version with 228 HP, while the European version is 231 HP. Its probably the same like the C350, american version 268HP and euro version 272HP, but exactly the same. Just diff. emission standards.

Any comments?

Different exhaust system there? No catalytic converter maybe? It would seem it has something to do with the emissions, because its not that big of a hp gain. Would be nice if MB offered a free flow exhaust, yeah its not exactly a sports car, but the option would probably do well.

hahahhahahahahaha there are more different stuff than that and many different cars

What i was trying to say (major point) is that there is no c300 in europe and no c280 over here. Atleast i dont think so according to what ive been researching.

wrong folks.....european horsepower conversion from kilowatts is different than the north american conversion.

The conversion factor for north america is 1.341022

You'll find all euro MB hp #s are slightly higher than ours

The MB numbering system is different between Europe and the US....the cars are the same however, with only minor differences due to local laws or tastes.
