Video In Motion Fix is Near!!!

So I got my car tinted yesterday at an all-in-one shop and I couldn't help but notice that they sold and installed aftermarket head units. Therefore, I asked the guy if they knew how to rid the C of the video limiter and he immediately called this company called NAV-TV http://www.navtv.com/. According to them, the fix is about 3 weeks out and will cost around +/- $700. As for having it installed, the shop said $300. So thats a fix for $1K. Pretty steep. Do you think that its worth it?

Hummm. Now what does look interesting is their Ipod interface unit that looks like it will utilize the MM screen. Will have to keep an eye on that one when it is released.....

Exactly. Specially be able to display the artwork of the songs on MM screen.

+1....you'd have to really want it (and use it) to justify that cost.

For that each kiddo in back can get his own PSP and watch whatever they want to, rather than be forced to watch the same thing..

The dealer here in St. Paul, MN said they could refer me to someone who could remove the limitation for only $200. They said it was an easy fix that can be 'undone' just as easily.

Dealer in Jersey mentioned the same to me. Someone in their shop has already done it on a w204. I'll get more info if/when I pull the trigger on the car.
