I think more and more of these MB's are going to be built in countries where the currency is not growing on the dollar. Euro used to be $1 but now it is worth more than the dollar so these german car companies are having trouble selling the car here for the same price and making a profit that the reason for the shift in production. Some of these Japan.. companies have production lines set up here so they are fine. Any way this is what I think.

Hey Fellows, tonite after a week i got the car back and seems to be in good shape, they said have to replace water pump, had to wait to be shipped from germany, i had a meeting with the dealer general manager the other day and i told them how dissapointed i was with my purchased, the car broke down on me with my wife and my 15 month old baby on our first long ride about 145 miles from our home in lititz, Pa to washington DC, now i got it back tonite and the sunroof motor is making cracking noises when i close it, it kind seems like its getting stuck and has a hard time getting to close, well i'm going to contact mercedes benz corporate and talk to them about this and also the dealer, thanks for the comments and let's keep this up so we can help each other, greetings

Thought I might add that you stated you were far from home. You do realize that if you are a certain distance from home that MB has trip interuption and will pay for your hotel room and food. I had to take them up on that with my first C class in 00, I just can't remember what the exact distance is.

*For the guy that said file lemon law. Lemon Law states that you must have a car serviced for the same problem three times, if after the third time it still isn't fixed you can then file for Lemon Law. But be warned, they have added amendments to the Lemon Law that now favor the manufactors. The owners are now required to pay for mileage on cars, so if your car is new like in this case your not out much, but if you have some miles on it, prepare to pay.

yes, they did offer the hotel and all that, but whe had to come back home, so whe rented a vehicle from the airport, i ended up charging my credit card $318,99 for the one way rental 2007 Hyunday Tucson with 14500 miles on it for a minute it seems it run better than my brand new c300 4matic jaja.
I will call mbusa tomorrow and see how are they willing to compensate me.

Sorry to head that, but remember any part that has mechanical movement new or use has the chance to breakdown.

Ok guys, i contacted MB corp, and they offer to extend my warranty to 100k or 6 years for the inconvenience, warranty is transferable if i sell the car to a private, i guess it's a deal???? we will see.

Thats great news. MB is really good at making the customer happy. I had a problem with my ML and they did a great job at making me happy as well. Glad to see at least one car company that stands behind what they make.

I'm glad what started out as a horror story, turned into a comercial for how well Mercedes values its customers. Plus from the way it sounds, you didn't have to do much complaining to get things right in your mind.

That's a great deal. It IS good to see MB take care of their customers. The W204 introduction is important to them. It has to go well.
