The front is incredibly magnificent but the rear is ugly as hell.

In my opinion, nothing wrong with the rear design.
If you look at the curve of the trunk line close in person, it's an work of art as rest of the body lines. I also like when rear turn signal blinks in bright red. it looks so expensive

I see the same logic here. Looks matter just like how brand name matters ALOT to so many people. I bet good number of chose MB because of its name just like how some people will never buy Honda/Kia/etc or watever because of the name.You dont see the front when you're driving either

What do you expect from a car that just came out?. The thing about when people look at something..........it also mean how UGLY it look to one !!!!!!! In your case, maybe the people were saying about your car....."what a beautifull car with an UGLY rear end." !! Same goes with the SLR when it first came out, the SLR were the talks of the town. But it wasn't about how beautifull the car look instead, they were talking about how UGLY the front end look. Persoanlly when it come to the SLR front end, it the UGLIEST front end design I've ever seen. Now, the same nose design applied the ENZO and it look perfect !!!
