Tire Complaints
I keep reading posts about owners complaining about the tires on their cars (Continentals). Is this what came on their cars? Mine came with Michelin Pilots (Great performing tires). Just wondering.

Conti
<<Ours came with the Contis [225/45x17 H-rated], and while I would have preferred the Michelins, I have no serious complaints.>>
If you would like to have four more, I have mine on Craigslist Seattle.

2008 C350 and 2003 Z4 3.0
At 7000 miles I will switch to Pirelli P Zero Nero M&S. These tires are very good. I put them on my Z4 (run flats are for the birds) and on my W203.

C350 & ML350 soon!
FWIW, the C350 w/ 18" AMG wheel option comes with Continental Sport Contact 3 max performance tires (at least the ones I saw at the dealer).

Contis here wrapped around 18" AMG's no complaints, driven the car fairly aggressively in the rain also, don't see what there really is to complain about them?

c300
Not much for complaints with the contisport3s. Not as good as the PS2s I had on my last car ... but I wouldn't expect those as OEM on a C300. Reasonably quiet, for a max perf summer tire, and pretty good dry/wet traction. They've got a bit of a grip problem with standing starts in the rain.
My only real complaint centers on that my car came from the factory with 17s, the dealer swapped on the 18s before delivery which means my tire pressure plaque reads incorrectly. Dealer service dept keeps setting pressure to spec for the 17s.

My W203 came with Continentals. No real complaints, but tread life was less than 20k miles.
I replaced with Michelin Pilots. Really good tires. Handle very well, and they are very round. Complaints? They are really expensive (about $900 for a set of 4). Also, they get noisy as they get old. Still, they seem to be wearing better than the Continentals.

Why can't you just shut up if you have nothing better to say?!
People who are kind enough give their opinions/answers nicely, but you keep plaguing threads with your sarcasm like you're some "hot sh*t".

No, not true.
OEM tire choices come in batches at the factory - so dozens, if not hundreds, of cars are produced in a row with the same tires. This doesn't mean a permanent change.
For awhile, most cars on the ground at USA dealerships [not AMG 18", but the standard 17"] were Conti-equipped; then, most cars arriving had Michelins. Some weeks from now, the next ship will be dominated by Contis again.
It's purely the luck of the draw - depends what was coming in the door at the factory among the OEM tire choices at the time the car was built.
However, it IS true that the OEM choices are market-specific - Canada may get different tires than US-spec cars; certainly, the EU cars get different tires than the USA market - higher speed ratings, for one thing.
