A Good Yellow Fog Light output ...
And so I finally installed the PIAA Xtreme White Plus HALOGEN bulbs (4000K) for my W204... And I am happy! It was plug & play(no worries about any "bulb out" error messages).
Next, I wanna get Yellow Halogens for the fog lights. Somebody has mentioned that the new W204s use H7 for the fogs, and not H11s as stated in the manual.
Any suggestions as to what brand and spec will give me the most yellow output?
Thanks in advance.

Have you seen the PIAA Crystal Ion bulbs? Clear glass but they have a yellow internal bulb which illuminate a bright Euro yellow light. My dealer said they would be perfect for My W204 fog lights. Let me know about the size descrepancy- I was ready to order the Crystal Ions in H11.

I replaced my high & low beams with the PIAA Extreme white plus (4000k) and they look incredible. We did one side at a time to compare- what a difference. I also purchased the PIAA Ion Crystal Yellow H11 for my Fog lights. I will admit changing the high beam is a pain in the a$$. Even though they are the same bulb as the low beam- mb uses a different retention system. You think the bulb won't stay and finally after 20 minutes of messing- it lines up perfectly. As far as the fog lights- unless someone has some great tips for replacement they will be done at the dealership. I never thought I would imagine paying someone $100+ to install bulb for me but i'm not taking any chances on breaking something.

The fog light bulbs are pretty easy to change.
I have Hoen Performance rallye-style yellow bulbs coming my way soon, they should be very yellow from all angles and excellent for poor weather driving.

Are the H-7 PIAA Ion-Crystal bulbs 55W or something more? Who has the lowest price? I have been using 85W Ion-Crystal H-3s in my 944 for more than ten years and I like the yellow light they project.
And are the C300's fogs actually H-7s? How are they accessed? In my W203 I had to remove the underpanels on each side to access the back of the light which was a pain.
I have already installed 80W H-7s in the inner high beam lamps (Bi-Xenon present) and I think I can see the difference. They are from JC Whitney at a reasonable price.

To access the bulbs you unscrew a few screws to release the black plastic foglight trim surrounds, reach through the opening and behind the foglight housing to pull out the bulbs. It takes about 5 minutes to do.

Fog access
The C300 foglights (at least in the sport models) are actually H7 (even though the owner's manual says H11). I did access the foglights to see what they are and they are indeed H7's. Thanks for the info. Nice to see MB made something easy, for a change.

For light bulb removal
<<To access the bulbs you unscrew a few screws to release the black plastic foglight trim surrounds, reach through the opening and behind the foglight housing to pull out the bulbs. It takes about 5 minutes to do.>>
Unfortunately, this does not apply to the Luxury model. There is no access from the front (the screw is for beam height adjustment only) and even with removal of the front engine cover, the lamp cannot be reached. Perhaps if my arm was about one foot longer....
Looks like it's the same problem as the W203 in that the panel underneath will have to be removed. With great difficulty, looks like.

I can't believe you guys are saying the fogs are H7! I have had these frickin PIAA Ion Crystal H11's sitting here waiting for me (just had shoulder surgery and cant change them out). I am sooo pissed. I checked the PIAA site and they dont show the H7 in the yellow.

I'm at the dealership and asked about the fog light bulbs. They said if you have the AMG body kit- the bulb is h7. If you have the luxury version- it is the h11.

It's a European thing (maybe you just don't get it). I want yellow because that is an actual fog light (not driving light) and we get lots of morning fog where I live.

Thanks for the post!
I just replaced my fog light bulbs with Bosch All-Weather H-7's in less than 5 minutes just like you said!
The hardest part was putting the bulb back into the assembly on the driver's side.
