A Couple of Issues

I encountered two issues in my W204. First, door locking hooker was found to be broken. When my sister attempted to open the rear door by pulling up locking hooker, it came OFF. I investigated it and found it was cracked. Check yours are intact. :)

Second, whenever side mirrors are folding and unfolding, the right one is squeaking. I don't know why. After several rain hit mine, the right side one began to make noise all of sudden.

I need to knock on the door of my dealership even before the first service. I am also trying to find a way to fix the second problem by myself. Please make me advised if you have any idea. Honestly, mirroring my experience in Passat, I hate to go to the dealership to fix something. I feel like my car becomes loosened (i.e., losing solid feeling) after whenever visiting dealership for repair.

I have the same problem with my side mirrors also got the car bout 6 weeks ago. My car was in the snow for few days :( first the left one and then right one started making sounds it all started yesterday. I made a vist to the dealership first they said it juss needs lube but after they did that sound still didnt go away now they put in workorder for new side mirrors.

Replacement of just side mirrors would not make bad effect on "solid feeling." :)
I just asked to order new part for lock hooker. I am going to replace it tomorrow. But I did not mention the noise of side mirrors because it stopped yesterday after manually folding and unfolding several times. But I will ask lube or replacement just in case noise kicks in again. I am happy to know I am not alone about this issue. ;) Hope replacement will have no problem.

My folding mirrors have been doing the same since August here (Intermittently) though. Sometimes it's a dry grinding or clicking sound as they extract into place, sometimes smooth as glass & no noise. :nix:

All posters on this thread have C300, is this a C300 problem? I have not had any issues as mentioned here.
