Cloth Section of Door Panel (cleaning)
Hi All;
I'm new to this forum and new to MB. Just picked up my c300 yesterday.
I noticed today that the bottom portion of the door panel is cloth. I'm wondering if it makes sense to scotchguard this piece to keep it from getting dirty? I've never had a car with cloth on the doors.
The interior is black BTW.

I noticed it on the first wash i did over the weekend... I have to say that this was one of the dumbest moves mb made by putting cloth in a high traffic area aka the bottom.... mine really isnt dirty, but i would probably put some kind of plastic or scotchguard on it!

Cloth lower door trim is reserved for MB's higher trim levels (elegance, avantgarde) C and E classes, you will not find it in the Classic aka SE, Taxi trim that's not available in the US. I think it makes a world of difference. It's very easy to clean with a damp, lint-free cloth e.g microfiber towel. You'll be surprised how durable it is.

MBWorld Fanatic!
Great to hear its durable. I have been worrying about the same thing. I was even considering having it upholstered with leather (Pricey though).
