I can't choose!??2010 C-CLASS OR E-CLASS
Hey guys, i need help b/c the lease on my R ends in late 2009, when the new E-class comes out. I haven't driven the new C, but im hearing a lot of people say that its small, but i also own an IS and its tiny as hell in the back seat. I'm only 5'8'', but if space is an issue in the C, then i guess ill have to go w/ the E even tho i dont want to (budget).

the C is for sure bigger than the IS.. but neither will be ultra comfortable in the backseat, regardless of height.
are you talking about for yourself, or for your passengers?
I'm 6'2, and i have no issue in the front seat. can't say the same for the rear, however.

If I were you, I'd go for the E-Class

I'd say get an E class as well, from the spy pics it looks amazing. You can't even compare a C to an E. Comes down to what you can afford, cause lets face it, if we could we would all be in S classes.

I've sat in the SLR..(haven't driven it) but I sat in one and honestly its not that impressive, other than the fact the hood is huge. Corvette ZR1 will tear it a new one and cost 300k less. But yeah go for an E or just get another R class, I just took delivery of mine in February and love it.

I personally don't like to drive a car much bigger than the C-Class. I really feel comfortable driving this size car. I've also ridden in my backseat up to 200 miles, I'm 5'11" and a bit above average size, and I am comfortable back there believe it or not.
However, the new E probably will be very impressive. You'll have to see when the time comes.

So I guess your local Yellowknife dealer doesn't have a C you could sit in right now?
Even here is distant Seattle the local dealer has six or seven on hand.

I've seen spy shots of the new E-class, and i love it. But honestly, i can't afford it (unless if i lease it) and i hate leasing(i only lease if i don't want to keep the car). How are you guys enjoying your C's. I heard(and hope) they're giving it a power boost for next year to 305 hp from the new SLK350.

the redesigned 2010 E-class will definitely be better and larger than the C-class, but then again you are paying for it.
I personally like smaller cars since I don't have kids and like something that's sportier and more nimble, and no more larger than what I really need. If the CLK is redesigned like the C-class and offered with 4matic I would be all over it.
Have you thought about the upcoming 2009 Audi A4 with the V6 engine? It is significantly larger than the outgoing model and the C-class and offers a beautiful interior and great performance and handling.

Do you guys know if the C350 is getting a power boost for 2009/10? I keep hearing that it might get the 305hp engine from the new SLK350. I drove a C350 yesterday, and i loved it, it handles really nice, and the suspension was soo smooth, my only problem is that its down on power, which is why i'm hoping that
they'll put the new engine in it. And about the space, its actually pretty comfortable in the back seat when i sat in it.
