Entering house numbers on voice command

Anyone else have trouble with this? I will do it in single digits but how do you get it to accept it. I will say 7 - 5- 4 and then say confirm and she will keep saying 7- 5- 4 .. I'm like, "confirm!!" and she will say , "7- 5- 4- 0" I don't get it. How do you get it to accept the number??

I have tried everything. I will say correct and try to start over and the same problem. Then she will say, "Possible command are confirm..." etc. I want to throw the system out of the window sometimes.

did you run thru the voice personalization yet?

MBfan21 04-07-2008 11:48 PM

Yes I did that already.

try this...

say 7 - 5 - 4, then pause until she says 7 - 5 - 4, then say confirm.

try sweet talking to her a little bit, that always works for me. no ture lady likes to getting yelled at.

I am having the same problem as the OP. When you say "7-5-4" and then say "Confirm", all the voice does is repeat what you just said. Very frustrating. It happened to me this weekend and I just let a long pause go by...FINALLY she said, "Is 7-5-4 correct". and then I replied "YES".

There SHOULD be a better way.

If anyone knows a better way...please share.

not for me.....saying "confirm" makes her repeat the numbers. When she "asks" if it is correct, I say "yes".

confirm = repeat (for me at least)

I think the "correct" response to her repeating the numbers is "save" because when you say confirm, you are asking her to "confirm" what she heard. Try saying save after she repeats the numbers. It always works for me.

Funny thing is that she doesn't like my wife, whenever she says save, the nav says eight... lol

jesus this is ridiculous. all you gotta say is 'ok' and it works.

saying "save" works everytime for me. but saying "confirm" will just make her repeat what i just said. so i think the proper term is "save"

I will try to say save next time. When I say confirm, she starts saying different digits... 7-5-4-2-5 . I'm like noooo!
