Headlight kit is legal in US (Not sure on Canadian laws). Install took about 1 hr total (headlights only). Just a heads up- Spray CLEAN filtered water LIGHTLY on the headlight. You don't need tons of water. The more you use- the more bubbles and the longer it takes to clear up later. Make sure your hands stay wet and you start at the center edge and work your way out. The hairdryer will soften the film and help you stretch to roll around corners. SQUEEGEE the crap out of it after you spray the installed film. Good luck

Fog shape

<<I called them this morning and told them that their original kit had the wrong lens shape. I told them that it was approx 3.5" diameter circle, not an oval.>>

Sport is round, Luxury is oval.

They added the Sport kit and still have the Luxury available. The other difference is the Sport kit does NOT include side marker tints (the luxury does even though that doesn't make sense to me).

Do these protect from sun damage too or just scratchs? My headlights are pretty fogged up, but if I sand off the clearcoat, I assume they'll fog up again pretty quickly.

Do you have a W204 or the W203? The 203's used a different "glass" on the headlights. They always seemed to have a cloudy look. The lamin-x protects the entire surface so the lenses won't oxidize, scratch or ship. I recently pulled off the film and my lights look showroom new. I am replacing the films due to my installation errors (1st time installing).

ok i have the lamin-x film...i put the fog on first...but when done they seem to have the sticky residue stain in the left fog light...that stopped me from doing the headlights...the film is sticky itself...ne advice...im i doin something wrong? its been a few weeks and that residue stain is still there so it hasnt cleared up in the heat as the bubbles seem to...

I never had a problem with sticky residues. Did you lightly spray the lenses before install? That keeps the adhesive from sticking until you have proper placement and allows you to lift and reapply the film without leaving residue.

i did spray just a little water because i didnt want the bubbles...but maybe didnt spray enough...thanx
i guess its better to work the bubbles out than to have the residue...

X3 and 2012 C coming soon
Sorry if this was mentioned. The x-pel version has relief cuts and the install is a snap. It took me about 30 min for 2 headlights (.20 mil) You must squeegie out all of the bubbles. You will have a few milky spots until it evaporates. The bubbles will not go away if you can feel them on the surface of the film after installing. Mix a spray soution of 1 part of 70% alcohol, with 3 parts of water. Clean the headlights with the solution. Dry them w/ microfiber towel. Then, spray the adhesive side of the shield with the solution. Place the shield, and squeegie from the center to the edges. You have to be very firm with it. I re-did mine last weekend and the milky spots that remain are almost all gone.

More accurately, use filtered reverse osmosis water. Basically bottle-quality water (not spring water). Don't just filter water through a Brita!

I have a w203. So then if I use this, it will protect it from fogging up again?

Have you tried polishing your headlights? Mothers and Maguires make plastic polish that might work if you have a high-speed buffer. I would polish first then
apply films.
