My Baby Got Bumped
Boy I really miss those bump strips down the side of the old w203 now! It was bound to happen sooner or later but I would have liked it to have happened much later ha ha. Looked over the car today and someone tagged my rear door, its just a slight ding and didn't break paint, but its still hurts. If they would have just put those chrome strips through the center of the doors, they would have actually looked good and served a purpose. Not sure if its going to be worth having it removed, its about the size of a dime, but it is in the middle of the door and pretty noticable, least to my eyes. Anyone have a ding removed? What sort of price range would I be looking at to have a dime sized ding removed from the center of a door?

$80 PDR should fix your pain. do it now...cuz everytime you walk past it, its going to give you a minor heart attack even though you are the only one that will notice it

Dent
The Dent Wizard or equal can remove damage like that without a trace. They charge by the panel out my way. Could be $100 which is a mere fraction of a body shop fix.
Watch where you park, and yes, it is possible to avoid these things. My nearly 25 year old Porsche has never had a door ding.

Sucks, man. The first one's always the hardest on a new car. And I've found those mobile dent repair guys to be cheaper than some other choices, and just as effective.

I too have had excellent experience with paintless dent removal services - pick one out of your phone book. They will often come to you, and the expense is modest. [Don't despair - when they're done, you'll never know it happened.]

X3 and 2012 C coming soon
I used the paintless dent removal guys on previous cars. They are awesome. I've also been told by them that German cars are easier to work with because the metal is thicker than on Japanese and Domestic cars.

Go with the PDR you wont regret it. I had to hand size dents on the hood of my Hummer where they rested to install a windshield. Took it in and they repaired both and you could never even know there were there.
Also had a Black truck with a big door ding on the drivers door and had the same thing done. Of course when you own black it magnifies the dent even more. Once fixed I could never see where the dent was.
So do it quickly for peace of mind....
