WIFEY WANTS A C-CLASS

My wife 's been driving a cadillac cts for a year now, she told me today she wants a c300 now that i have my c350, what should i do. she's not a benz person.she always talks crap about mercedes, and i love my benz. I need help, im confused.

imboom 04-11-2008 09:45 PM

Why not a new Caddy CTS? They go for the exact same MSRP range as the C Class and have almost the same range of positive reviews. Having a household of two of the same type of car is boring.

Or get her 3 Series:):)

itcrashed 04-11-2008 10:03 PM

^ ditto...get her something different like a bimmer or audi

franka2000 04-11-2008 10:08 PM

RIGHT ON

I want her to stay away from my ride.

In general, Cadillacs depreciate worse than Mercedes or BMW's. So she may get a rude awakening when she tries to sell a one-year-old Cadillac.

I don't really see the big deal here. :)

Actually, the big deal to me would be she wants a new car when she has a 1 year old Cadillac CTS (perfectly fine car IMHO).

However, if that part doesn't' bother you and if she wants a C300, I don't see why not?

Maybe she should start 24 month leasing, so that she would be locked in for at least 2 years. ha-ha

No

Say no for now, and then surprise her with a new 2009 Audi A4. That will win you some points. Or maybe go for an A5, those are sweet.

Whatever you do don't get another of the same car. Get something different and you guys can share.

I agree with MB_FTW. Anything but another W204. :naughty:

mac911 04-13-2008 02:41 AM

It's not like 1 person is getting the same car. It's two people. If that was really what she was set on, i don't see anything against it.

chilledbenz 04-13-2008 02:47 AM

You could do a number of things:
#1. Buy her a C300 Luxury model in a different color than yours.
#2. Give her your C350 and get yourself a C63!
#3. Wait till the GLK comes out and get that for yourself or her.
#4. Depending on where you live, you could get an C estate wagon.
#5. Just do what ever she says and pretend it was your idea.

^

#2 for the man, #5 for matrimonial harmony.

I say #2. If you're happy, she should be happy too.

Give her what she wants and have a more peaceful life!:y

MB_FTW 04-13-2008 03:41 PM

Why does she want a new car when she has a 1 yr. old CTS.

Its a great car, or am I mistaken?

narky 04-13-2008 04:00 PM

CTS is a great car, but the w204 is better, in my opinion. I wouldn't trade-in/sell a 1 year old car for financial reasons, but if money were no object, hell, I'd do it too. Plus I could act like I'm buyin the C63 for the lady, but sorta swap it (maybe just the badges, girls can't tell anyway ) and drive the new car around. :rolf:

That is a good idea!!! :)

Also - Why do you find better about the W204 over the CTS? I'm not arguing against you at all. I just don't know a lot about it, so I'd appreciate hearing your thoughts. After all, I love knowing anything more I can about cars in this entry luxury class.

Cool you have an Altima too. I traded mine in. Wish I still had it too.

chilledbenz 04-14-2008 02:31 PM

Ha ha ha ha he hasn't replied...maybe he's living in his C350 now :rolf:
