bmw began it . I think it is late action for auto industry

for MB and new C with this function new LCD features will be more useful and must it now I see LCD option with new order needless money and not useful but internet make it sell more :y

...not to mention the annual subscription pricetag for service they will charge you...

If MB's Teleaid and BMW's Assist cost $300+ annually, what do you think the internet service will cost? I bet it will be in the neighborhood of $600-$800 annually.

I think technically will be free ... this is not special TeleAid system ... to me you connect GPRS feautures phone or cell card to Unit and you are internet or possible wireless tecnology (this could not possible on move ) like you use your laptop-notebook

if you watch the video, you will find out that it is not free.
BMW will be a web proxy to the internet - you will have to pay a subscription.
