Ok,

I purchased the Sylvania Silverstar Ultras and installed them. Please view the attached photo and notice how the light "dips" on the right side. So I put the FACTORY bulb back in, and it looked like the light on the left...nice and straight cutoff. Then I switched Silverstar Ultra bulbs, and I still get the same thing...the DAMN DIP!

So to summarize...EITHER new Silverstar Ultra bulb makes the dip on the RIGHT SIDE ONLY, but when I put the FACTORY bulb back in on the right side...I get the straight cutoff. The dip doesn't happen on the LEFT side with either Silverstar Ultra installed.

So it's not a bulb issue....and it can't be something in the housing, because the factory bulb works fine in the right side, making it look like the left.

WHAT is going on????

Is it noticeable when you look straight at the head lights?
Other wise don’t worry.

The photo doesn't really do it justice. It is almost as though the brightest part of the projection is blocked and dark. It is frustrating because when I switch the bulbs....the right one STILL has that indention. But when I put FACTORY bulb in the right side...it is straight.

I will drive to work tommorrow (in the dark) and see how they perform, but I was hoping that someone here had something similar happen..and could explain it to me.

does the oem bulb have its tip painted? im guessing it doesnt while your aftermarket bulb is painted...just a guess.

I have installed silver stars on several vehicles and more often than not I have to readjust the lights with the silver stars in. They send out the light pattern in a different way.
