My wife's Mars Red C300 6sp w/19's
Hello everyone,
I don't post too much here (I'm an STi guy) but my wife had a C230k Coupe for 5 years and replaced it with this C300 last week. It has the P2, multimedia, and Pano roof packages. It also black MB tex with aluminum. It was two weeks behind from the expected arrival date and I was glad when I finally showed up...She just couldn't wait. She new she wanted to run 19's so she ordered them to show up b4 the car but just like the car they were two week late and showed up today. As well as the Eibach springs. I'll be installing them tomorrow and post more pics. For now here you go. http://pics.shorty.org/files/105/benzstock.jpg http://pics.shorty.org/files/105/benzcnr.jpg http://pics.shorty.org/files/105/benzside.jpg If anyone can photoshop the side shot to black wheels/polished lip that would be great. She's on the fence about having them painted. Pics of the eibachs tomorrow!!! Thanks for looking Byron (and Danielle the owner) |

If your profile didn't say you are from Saratoga I would have sworn that MB dealer was the same as the one I bought mine from on LI. I hope your wife enjoys her car for a long time. :y

What a nice car for a wife..congrats..Why not a 19 brabus or whatever else? It has a great colour you must lower it.
|
Definitely paint the rims!!!! Nice color!!

Nice car, I got our steel gray C300 sport for my wife too! Wives love C-Classes. But anyway, I'm on the fence on the wheels, I think they would look better on a Camry or something of that nature. These cars really benefit from a twin or multi spoke wheel. IMO big fat 5-spokes are sort of a throwback on a somewhat modern designed car. You did ask for honest opinions, so I've given mine.:y

Thanks for the comments. And thanks to vcruiser for the chop. You lowered it almost exactly the same as the eibachs.
In case anyone was wondering Danielle bought her own car and her own wheels. I'm just the guy who plays on the internet and posted it up. Although now she wishes I didn't bother because what some people don't realize is she does the things to her car that she wants to. And she does them to please no one but herself. I simply posted these up so owners of the same/similar cars could see what other people are doing. Here's her old car: http://i.hincity.com/media/photos/cars/7316/o_48384.jpg I installed the Eibachs today. I had to go buy a t18 Torx socket though. I can't believe how much I had to compress the front springs to get the tophat on. At one point I told Danielle if these spring compressors come off...I'm dead. I put straps around them just for the extra safety. And the rear springs?!!!?? The eibachs were taller than the stock springs. I called the tech line and they told me the part #, height and coil count were correct. I hope they settle a little. We're going to get the 5mm spring pads from the dealer to drop the rear a little more. http://pics.shorty.org/files/105/benzsidelower.jpg Going for tint in the morning and it'll be pretty much where she wanted it to be for this year.(except maybe painting the wheels) Thanks again, Byron |
My girlfriend would get along well with her. She is a bit of car nut.
Could it be the Eibachs are taller because they have more dead coils than the OEs? Anyway, her drop looks good. I saw another car here with Eibachs and the rear looked saggy. I like a little rake. Are you concerned about leaving the OE struts and shocks? BTW, is that the accessory spoiler or a C350 version? |

Although it was tough getting the dealer to understand...them-"but that spoiler isn't an option." Us-"Pretend a 350 got rear ended and you're getting them a new spoiler. Then paint it red and put it on ours." |
Looks good.
