Question about custom removal of the resonator for H or X pipe again..
I'm confused as to what needs to be removed for the better sound? If I look under my C300 I see what looks like two small mufflers (round) in shape in the center. Under the rear passenger seat section is a suitcase shaped muffler looking thing. Are the smaller muffler looking parts converters or just separate resonators too? I just might remove those and the suit cases and leave the mufflers in the very back if thats the case.

I'm not sure on the C350, but the "box" near the end (at the tips) is the muffler. There should be another box or tube upstream. In the E55s, the two pipes come into one and the resonator is a single piece. Anyone have underbody pics/ I'll take some. I highly doubt our exhausts are truly dual.

They are truely dual.
You have a cat after each header, then a tiny tiny small round resonator.
In dead center of the car there is a huge resonator that both pipes go into, that's what I replaced with an X pipe. After that you have your two mufflers under the trunk.
