According to todays rates, one complete side mirror will cost $431 without auto dimming.
The auto dimming glass will cost $360 alone

Can you get the auto dimming glass for the right side of the car?

Once upon a time, a car or two back, I had a Volvo 740 with "European" mirrors. The difference is that here in the States, we have an "objects in the mirror are closer than they appear to be" annotation on the passenger (right) side. The European mirrors didn't have that, and were plain optic glass.

I might be interested in getting an auto-dimming glass for that side of the car, so that all 3 mirrors auto dim. I am assuming that there is a fairly simple procedure for swapping out the glass?

There is one plug behind the triangular grill and another behind the door panel on the driver's side. Which is which?

Its not very hard, just time consuming as you need to pop off all four door panels to fit the door trims.
Dont know how the dash parts are fastened but it cant be to difficult.

Wow lots of numbers here, when asking MB to order this conversion do have to give them all of these codes? I dont care much about auto dimming glass so how is the easiest way to do this?

If you dont want auto dimming you just use:
L: A212 810 01 21
R: A212 810 02 21

And remember that the above parts for the new style mirror arnt foldable, also I do not know if the existing harness will fit the parts in the new mirror.

Ok so without auto dimming glass, with all those parts mentioned above, with the side covers painted, it will cost around 431? Is that what you mean?
