Anyone installed a C63 Grille yet?
 

I want a blacked out grill but looking at the shape my sport grill is in now with 17K miles of rock chips and such an aftermarket paint job leaves me skeptical on the long term durability against peeling and such. I would like to know if anyone has installed or tried to yet on a regular W204? Some speculators on here early on seemed to thing the grille on the C63 was wider or slightly a different shape. From viewing it in person only the additional chrome piece above looks different.

If you're not getting a C63 hood, don't get the C63 grille. The top of the chrome surround is a part of the hood and not the grille.

I'd just get it it repainted and if you live in an area where rock chips are big, you can get some heavy duty clear coat or custom laminate.

I remember seeing someone fit a C63 grille on their car. I can't recall if I saw it here or at another MB site, but it seemed to have gaps in between the top portion that attached to the hood and the main lower part. Personally I wasn't feeling it. Nice idea, I like the grille but the gaps were too big IMO. Maybe he addressed it. If I find the pic, I'll repost.

Those pics of the C63 grill on the C300 was on this site and it definitely did not fit right. I think the Schatz grill looked similar to the C63 grill but no one else seemed to like it. I think the pic looked to flashy (chrome looked real bright but it looked like an enhanced photo). It has back fins and the full chrome surround. I am still considering trying one if the seller will accept returns if not satisfied.
