40XXX before tax or after tax and all the other BS?? How many miles did it have on it when you bought it? I am guessing over 100?

If you got it for 40xxx out the door, then that means you got around 7-8 Grand off of MSRP...

That is pretty ridiculous if true...

I am calling BLUFF

Car had 11 miles on it.....right off the showroom floor. MB is offering $3500 off certain cars along with 2.9% financing. So, invoice was right around $41,xxx, subtract the $3,500 rebate, add tax and we're at $40,XXX. See, its very true and I even have the documents to prove so should they be needed.

When I was offered that price right off that bat, first thing that came out of my mouth was "get the paperwork started." In all my years of buying cars, I've never had such a pleasurable experience. Not even close...

That's great. Congrats on the new ride, the deal you got on it makes owning it that much sweeter.

Yes. Invoice minus the rebate plus the 2.9% financing. I don't think anyone would pass up such a good deal. Either way I was going to purchase the car but this did make it a much sweeter buying experience.

I should have pics tonight.

Congrats! Even more congrats on the awesome price! Now enjoy... I'm more in the "less is more" school of modding. A little too much so, perhaps--I've done nothing to the car in 7 months of ownership.

But my short list:
tint, spoiler (Brabus 3-piece or CF OEM replica), clear side marker, Euroteck CF front lip, and maybe Euroteck CF rear diffuser.

Then perhaps some 19" wheels, but I do like the 18" AMG quite a bit. Love the design. And the roads here in the East SF Bay Area isn't the best for large diameter wheel/rubber band tires combo.

I say, just enjoy the car for now, and then start modding little by little once the new car feeling is worn away and you start getting bored. Little mods here and there do wonders to keep the enthusiasm going.

That's very good advice. I've always tried to mod as my love for a car starts to fade.

actually... i would get the 19" wheels soon, since you can sell your 18" AMG wheels for better price BRAND NEW. once they are used or scratched up, they are gonna be hard to sell. You can probably sell them for $2000?
