C Class Burnout
I saw this clip on youtube demonstrating a burnout in C220 (W204)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_CWjcQ4b8Fo Is it even possible to do a burnout on an Automatic C Class ??? I'm guessing the car in the clip is a manual. Secondly how would you do it ? I would have thought Mercedes to have created the system not to let you do that. |
Turn off ESP

ESP OFF - watch her go - love doin track days in it! :y

You are sayin if I just hit the ESP button, I can burn out? |
i reckon its auto (imho)
because when i do burn outs in manual i dump my clutch and jump my left foot onto the brakes, ie. brake light only comes on when i let go of my clutch in this video the brake lights were on even when it wasnt spinning the wheel, if it were manual the engine would have stalled hence my guess |
Actually I don't know how to do a burnout in an automatic car... I have only done it in a manual car.
Even if I turn off the ESP, I would have to leave the hand brake on and step on the gas pedal... That's how I guess they do it in an auto... Probably wrong though... |
Do a search for Dyno Mode :y

Yea I would suggest not doing that. I haven't tried in the 204 but in my 215 if you hold down the esp button long enough it will go off completely and then you can do just about whatever you want. You probably couldn't doing anything standing still in a 4matic regardless but the rwd guys should be able to.

The german comments underneath the video say it's a manual car, and that it's impossible to do with an automatic.

Just put your left foot on the brake, turn off ESP, and give her hell. Iv never done it in benz and wont do it mine. So I dont know if the ESP will interupt. |
Here is my awesome C Class burnout video

lol sorry i shouldn't have given wrong instruction since i never done burnouts in auto before, i kno that the tranny would f up but for the kids who want to try it at home do it at ur own risk
i stand corrected D: would doing the brake and gas at the same time thing f* up the torque converter too? |
Burnout
Like the other dude said power brake it.
1. Turn of the ESP. 2. Pump the brake til it doesnt pump no more and hold it. 3. Hit that shizzattt into steptronic gear 1. 4. While holding the break hit the gas and watch it go. 5. Make sure no one is behind you as a possibility of being rear ended increases with all the smoke lol.:y |
i can tell you that people with the 6spd can do it easily.:) 4matic never done it before but it can be done.
|
i love doing donuts as well....having a rwd car is so much fun (i had all fwd before this)
6spd :zoom: |
lets see; torque converter, flex plate even flywheel and some internal transmission damage, too risky
|
also I have seen transmission cases and engines block crack do to a burn outs
|
back in high school some idiot was doing burnouts in our parking lot in his Camaro. lets just say tires wasn't the only thing that went up in smoke that day.
|
the question is; Why do you want to do a burnout in a nice car like the c300/350?
|
Just goes to show you even how much more torque the C300 has, I can break them lose with ease and now delay with my wimpy C300 and Automatic.

i have done many burn outs wit my c.. but i think im doing it wrong..cuz ill do the burn out and as soon as shifts to 2nd gear thats wen it stopss and ill have the esp turned off and still.. i hate that ****..does that happen to everyone who has tried to do a burn out or just me??
