I just bought a C300 Sport last week
Quick questions:
Is it normal when I start the engine (cold start), I can feel the vibration that lasts about less than 10 seconds...the body of the car vibrates...
Also, how do you clear off the glue markings from factory/shipping exterior covers? You know what I am talking about, right? Those white factory shipping protectors...they left residue (glue lines) here and there I think it's from the edge of this protector sheet. What should I do? How do I clean it?
I don't want to go back to the dealer as I am afraid they will mess up with my car even more, buffing it...not knowing how they will do it...coz it's not their car...they can do whatever...I don't trust them...you know what I mean...
Just to make sure, what did you guys receive when you purchase your C?
First aid kit, manuals? any other items?

Go back to your dealer and ask them to finish the delivery process ... you should not have any shipping residue on the car. As to the vibrations, it could be almost anything ... ??

vibration in the car; how bad a vibration? shaky like a light earthquake or like your cellphone?
if its cellphone type, its normal. thats just your engine starting up.

as for glue, use goo gone. works for any glue line.

as for small items
1st aid kit, manual kit in leather case, CD case.
and they mail you a gift.

Normally, there is no vibration at all after engine start. Let your dealer sort this out which they will.

All this talk about white plastic covers puzzles me. What covers? The only ones I can think of are the shipping protectors for the thresholds which are removed during new car prep.

I think there is more to this than you have revealed.

when they prep the car, do you guys know what they actually do?
Just want to make sure they didn't miss anything...

I think mine was not prep properly...the windows are foggy/not clear...I guess they just removed the protectors and all those covers inside the car...

I dunno why your case is not leather. it may just be because of the dealer you've purchased your car from.

my car also came with a nylon Velcro cd case that fits maybe 10 cds

bugs&tar cleaner from any store will clean those glue right up. wash and wax the spot after.

I dont know how bad the glue is on the car but small gluemarks is easy to get off with small alcohol pads that you can get from any pharmacy. I used that when I ripped off a glued dealer"badge" my dealership put on my car before the delivery...

I got two MB key rings from my dealer. Later on I received a $25.00 gift card for Saks in a nice leather wallet embossed with the MB logo. As well as the usual manuals in leather case, 1st aid kit, CD case.
