Child Lock (Rear doors)

Does anyone know how to enable child lock for the rear doors (you have to open from the outside). I went to the dealership yesterday and they claimed this "basic" safety feature is not available. Hard to believe !!

I checked the user manual but there are nothing. And when I open the door, I could not find the latch either.

You have to open the door and there is a small black switch at the side of the door. flip it up or down to enable or disabe the child safety lock and always double check!

I don't think it's available on US models. One way around this is to pull out (up) the rear door buttons and it will make it difficult for a child to unlock the doors once you lock them from up front.

No child locks on US models, but you do have to pull the pin up to uinlock the door and it can be pretty hard to unlock.

Yeah, They are child safe, they will break off the first time someone goes to pull on them

On Canadian models there's no lever, but if you open the door you'll see a rectangular opening in the door, just below the door latch mechanism. You can put a key in and flip the childproof locks on or off. As you say, there's nothing in the manual, which is pretty strange! Can't see why they'd be left out of US models.

Have a look.

Just put a dab of vaseline on the unlock pin & that will keep the ankle biters in check.
