Post Cheap(er) -C63 Diffuser OEM Quad Tip Solution! * Inside!*

I’ve found a pretty easy solution if you are having issues finding reasonably priced exhaust tips for the conversion.

After searching & searching & more searching Online, EBay, at Local Exhaust Shops & numerous Private Messages to people that have already done this (using SLK55, E55 tips, etc…) thanks micropower99… My dealer could not get just the tips, only the AMG’s mufflers with the tips $$$.

I have found a Factory Oval Tip with very close width & height (within 1/16”) to the real AMG C63 Tips! I just left the dealer and measured the C63 tips 4-13/16” against the……….… WAIT A SECOND………. a C350 sport 4-3/4”

That’s only 1/16” difference! 2.5mm difference to the people outside the U.S.A. The height is the same!

Long story short I ordered them! The cost is only $84 bucks each! I just have to reuse the other two on the car. That’s not too bad for me I just picked up the C350 on Sept. 15th, so my tips still look new.

While these tips may not say AMG on them, they are readily available, OEM, The right Shape& Size. That’s cool with me. My quest to find tips was getting tiring.

And… Yes the C350 & C300 are the same part #’s

Also measured the C63 opening and it’s approximately 11-3/4” if anyone was curious.

Here are the tip part #’s 204 490 63 27 & 204 490 64 27

Thanks Mu9enx....

Spec_Davis... there are a few posts already with pics... maybe none with these tips though? My diffuser is not here yet. I will post pics when I do this..

I only have one day a week to goof off with this car... last week I posted the reverse camera/VIM DIY https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w204/262634-diy-rear-camera-install-w-pics-centered-location.html.

This friday i'm doing the factory illuminated door sill install DIY with pics... it looks not to bad but has its own CAN control unit (how fun!).

With the exhaust welding and alignment time consumption it may have to wait till the following week.... I'll keep everybody informed..

GREAT FIND!! Iwas looking for the EXACT same thing but having trouble finding the tips...

What is the best place to get the OEM c63 diffuser you have found (or legit LEGIT replica?) ?

The best price I have found is $250 from a local place (my other one fell through so i am out searching again)

Thanks!

This would be for the people that were looking to do the C63 diffuser install and are having a hard time finding the right tips or part #'s.....

There's an interest.....

Others have already done this.....

Personal aesthetic preference…..

Not for everyone.....

Don’t know if you were being sarcastic or haven’t seen other posts on this mod?

seems like a good price for getting a genuine diffuser from the dealer!

do you have the part numbers for the AMG brackets you are going to use... and the AMG diffuser part number as well (might as well add it to this thread too just be sure)

cool, this is the first time i have seen someone actually post the part numbers for the brackets...

i guess most people make their own?

But i assume it looks much cleaner underneath with the OEM brackets...

even with the brackets though... is it simply plug and play, or does it require some modifications???

TIA

rb23lb... Yes people do make there own brackets. See this post https://mbworld.org/forums/showthrea...t=c63+diffuser

look at the first 2 pictures (L brackets)... I ordered the AMG L brackets.

There's nothing wrong with that. For me I just want an OEM look, wait.... after i'm done it will be OEM ..... Parts that is!

It just comes down to individual style.

As far as the plug-n-play.... let me install it then i'll tell you

Yea Vader, let me know if those brackets work good with your C63 diffuser and your C350 without any modification. Is it suppose to replace those 2 brackets we took out of our old dual tip diffuser?
