Of the the, C is the only one that came out not too ugly IMHO.

The current E-Class looks so much better than that. Classic and beautiful. That looks like some big mess from Japan or something.

Please MB, compare current E and new one side by side. It's not a comparison on which is more gorgeous.

Plus, did they remove the traditional gear lever? That is another silly thing my opinion. A car is suppose to have a gear lever in it. ha-ha.

I don't know why MB has done this. Thank goodness the C still looks ok.

Once the new E is out, C is the only sedan I'd be able to stand. SLKs and SLs are still fine. I wonder what they'll do to the CLK? If it looks like that E, I'll be scared.

While that is probably the real deal, I think that's just a bad photo in bad lighting - the whole back section is washed out. Look at the Fascination concept and use your imagination.

color has alot to do with it also! they using burgundy to introduce a new model, that would not sell it for me.

Ick...gag me. I agree, that color isn't doing anything for it though, as is the wrap-around chrome trim towards the bottom. And those wheels are odd...maybe too small. Not too sure with whats going on with those tail lights, either.

I saw this picture floating around the net as well. I'm not sold on it being the real deal, every photo is the same out of focus, scanned magazine page, no one has any other photographs. We know how all the car guys are out there, if this is the real deal, someone else would have gotten some shots as well. It just looks strange in that photoshopped sort of way. Won't have to wait much longer for official photos to start making the rounds anyway.

I'm still wishy washy on the whole thing. The interior bothers me the most. I've never been into box interiors...but that thought aside, this is either going to look good in person, or be somewhat polarizing at first.

I do agree though that that special something about the design, the thing that when you see it says "Mercedes" instantly...is missing.

You're missing the fog lamps. Though it's probably pretty apparent where those would go.

Both those pictures are artist renderings as well, if you notice they aren't even the same renderings. I'll admit that what you see is pretty close to what will debut shortly though. I like it, most people hated the bug eyed w210-w211 cars as well but they grew on people, so much so that they decided to incorporate that idea into the w212 car by keeping the dual head light housings.

The white rendering looks much, much better than the first picture. The tail lights remind me of the last gen Lexus ES300 tail lights, though... Good or bad?

I like it. I think the camera angle of the first photo makes it look a little narrow in the front. I have some shots of my W204 from certain angles that make it look really strange.

ChrisBrown I think the fogs are those boomerang shaped objects in the side bumper grilles. They seem to be placed in slightly different locations in a few of the pics I've seen recently.

Just give them some time, this new E will be a beautiful car. They don't want to give away too many details of the car before the launch. You can however see the l.e.d. running lights in these photos.

The tail looks really weird. Reminds me of a 3 series cpe.
